Yearbook LESSONS - Unit 3: Copy, Caption & Headline Writing
Tues. Oct. 18th Target: to learn the Characteristics of different types of journalism stories and to identify the angle.
1. We will look at all the Cover and Endsheet designs and pick a winner by way of ballot. Please make sure yours is dropped off to the Cover folder.
2. Distribute Photography handout and Interview Reminders (booklet handout)
3. Read through the vocabulary for Copy Writing
4. Group Activity: Characteristics of a Feature Story, Personal Profile and Sports Copy (handout). Complete then take up.

1. Who will introduce the Funny Money Presenter Denis Grignon and who will take photos? - distribute Period 4 Excusal Slips
2. 2nd Sales Launch promotion talk - what are our prizes going to be?!? (if any) We need to decide asap and this time it's up to you!
3. I have postponed the 2nd Sales Launch to run Wed. Nov. 9th - Wed. Nov. 16th (6 days) - 3 people to sell each day (top sellers are excused from a designated sales day - Jessica H, Rachel, Grace, Jessalyn).
4. Everyone must do an announcement. Announcements run Mon. Nov. 4th - Wed. Nov. 16th (9 days - 2 people per day - Jessica H. and Rachel excused). There will be another prize for top yearbook salesperson(s).
